Hard aluminum alloy - light bending behavior for professional probing. Slip-stop for perfect grip - even with winter gloves. Quick-connector for quick and reliable clamping of the probe. Together to save space (own sample tray into the PIEPS backpacks!). Segments in different colors and centimeter scale to estimate burial. Also serves as cm mass in the snow profiles. The probe consists of 6 strong tubes (two colors) from a special aluminum alloy with low bending behavior (diameter 12.5 mm) plus additional tensioning tube.
